Very pleased to share our experience with Dr. Prashant Nyati, who helped with the debulking surgery for my wife having Ovarian Cancer (15" Cyst), detected at last moment (30th June 2022). We were referred by another Doctor to Prashant Nyati for a specialist advice, and what a great human being we discovered.
Apart from being a extremely passionate and competent Doctor, his humbleness and ability to calm down a patient is remarkable. Cancer itself is a scary word for many, and the way he handles his patients is worth appreciating. After going through the diagnostics report, he spent good time in explaining and drawing in detail on the exact steps of surgery and till what extent the surgery would be performed based on findings in the Operation Theatre. The way he explained the process and steps, it appeared so simple for him, a typical characteristics of a Master in subject. He took all the time to make the patient comfortable in saying that it's a regular process for him and hence need not worry.
He also explained the process of Chemo to be followed after surgery and how the entire recovery would happen.
What surprised us was his professionalism, passion for the subject and working for the cause and not driven by monetary benefits, which is rare in Mumbai and I can confidently say I have never seen a doctor so focused for a cause than money. In that sense he is a minority in his profession. Wish all Doctors had this human touch and hunger for studying the subject. I think its his personality which makes all difference.
The surgery was successfully completed at H.N. Reliance Hospital on 12th July 2022 with 11 days on hospital stay, under his team and the 6 Chemo cycles were also done under same premises from Aug to December using Chemo Port approach (recommended by Doctor).
Before meeting Dr. Nyati, we had met a Senior lady doctor in a reputed hospital and she recommended Laparoscopy for my wife, which was medically criminal approach for a 15" Cyst removal and was doomed for failure. A simple online search indicated this as wrong approach and was shocked to learn a lady Gynec with 30 years of experience recommended this approach. God saved us from that Doctor and connected us with Dr. Prashant Nyati who is a Specialized Onco Gynec. Later online search made it very clear that such surgery MUST be done only by a Onco Gynec and not ANY Gynec.
Our post recovery treatment continues under guidance of Dr. Prashant Nyati and we highly recommend him for any Onco Gynec and related surgeries. Each body response can be different, but being treated in the hands of a competent, passionate doctor is of paramount importance.
A point worth noting is that apart from surgeries, Dr. Prashant Nyati also genuinely invests time in creating awareness about Ovarian Cancer, without any expectations, which is absolutely rare. He is a true professional dedicated to the cause of the ovarian cancer treatment.
Honestly, words fall short for his appreciation and we only pray to God to give him all the success in his career ahead and may he continue to benefit the needy patients, with the right treatment.
