I would like to write about my experience interacting with Dr. Prashant Nyati (over the period of 30 days when my mother was under the direct care).Hyginus Fernandes
I live in the US (Miami) whereas my mother lives in UAE (Dubai). Recently my mother needed immediate medical attention and I was looking desperately for a good reputable doctor.
I was lucky to be referred to Dr. Prashant Nyati through a family friend as he's a well-known Gynecologist/Oncologist practicing at Jaslok Hospital - Mumbai. As I had to work with limited time (traveling to Dubai and then to India) and working within a budget, the co-ordination of my mother's care was paramount. I wanted the process to be fast-tracked as well while providing optimum care and was wondering how this all could be achieved.
My first call [from the US to Dr. Nyati (India)] was a great sigh of relief as Dr. Nyati patiently listened, showed empathy and understood my concerns immediately. He further more made himself available for communications over different platforms (phone, email, whatsapp etc.) as I was in a different time zone.
As soon as I sent him the medical reports he reviewed them and explained the plan of treatment with clarity offering solutions to avoid delays. This made me feel at ease as I planned my trip.
On arrival in India Dr. Nyati had planned everything to the tee, (timed Pre-Op studies, Operating Room was booked ahead in time, Post-Op ICU stay, Physiotherapy sessions were regulated, Medications prescribed only as required).
Dr. Nyati won over our confidence and made my mother feel she was in safe hands explaining every step in the process, by giving us his professional advice/opinion and later letting us take a call. He engaged other doctors where necessary to make sure my mother was clear for surgery.
Dr. Nyati performed my mother's major Surgery and Post-Op care successfully without any complications nor issues.
My overall experience interacting with Dr. Prashant Nyati is that he is a kind-hearted person, a very knowledgeable surgeon who genuinely cares for his patients. He's probably the humblest doctor I must have met. I would highly recommend his services to anybody including family and friends.
