My mother was diagnosed endometrial carcinoma around 1st week of January this year. We consulted Oncologist Dr. Vashishth Maniar and he and Dr. Satish Ajmera highly recommended Dr. Prashant Nyati.
The process of shortlisting a surgeon delayed as me and my family were diagnosed with Covid. Both the surgeons suggested the same procedure of vertical open cut and frozen section of uterus and ovary. And remove all of it if positive.
Meeting with Dr. Nyati gave a great comfort zone to my mother as she has high anxiety issues. And hence we decided to go with him.
My mother being an ILD (Interstitial Lung Disease) patient, overweight, high BP, a lot of pre-investigation were carried out to rule out all the risk factors. Dr. Nyati paid attention to each and every test carried out during the pre-investigation stage in detail.
On 10th February my mother was operated at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital. It took around 6 hours+ as the frozen section showed positive. Dr. Nyati did not leave the hospital till she was shifted to ICU and excubated.
Post when my mother was operated Dr. Nyati ensured every day he checked on her even if it was weekend off by continuously instructing the nurse staff interms her medication, diet and exercise routine. Infact day 2 onwards she was made to walk with 3 nurses helping her out. He continuously connected with the general physician and the pulmonogist whether she was doing good in her BP and if her lungs were functioning properly. Due to visiting hours being strict in the ICU Dr. Nyati called me every day briefing me on her progress.
Post her surgery the aftercare was very well monitored by Dr. Nyati after examining her every alternate day and giving her right kind of medication for the stitches to heal. Never ever seen this kind of a meticulous involvement of any doctor.
